    Abram Lucabaugh

    Abram Lucabaugh, affectionately known as "Abe," is a prominent educational leader who has left a lasting mark as the Superintendent of the Central Bucks School District in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. Born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he has dedicated his professional life to the field of education, applying his leadership skills and administrative knowledge to instigate significant positive changes within his community.

     

    His educational journey began with obtaining a B.S.E. in English from Millersville University in 1995, followed by an M.S. in Educational Administration from Gwynedd-Mercy University in 2002. His commitment to further enhancing his leadership capabilities led him to achieve an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University in 2017.

     

    Throughout his career, he has embraced various roles that showcased his versatility and commitment to education. He started as an English teacher at Hatboro-Horsham High School in the Hatboro-Horsham School District, where he pioneered a PSSA training seminar that focused on interdisciplinary writing skills across curricula. He then progressed to administrative roles, serving as Assistant Principal at Keith Valley Middle School and Tohickon Middle School before advancing to become the Principal at Central Bucks High School East. In these positions, he was instrumental in fostering a nurturing and productive learning environment, overseeing major construction and renovation projects, and initiating critical programs that significantly enhanced the school culture.

     

    From 2018 to 2021, Abram held the significant role of Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education. In this capacity, he oversaw the district’s eight secondary schools, focusing on improving educational outcomes and facilitating professional development opportunities for faculty and administration.

     

    Lucabaugh’s leadership as Superintendent of the Central Bucks School District was marked by a period of remarkable growth and development. During his tenure, the district strengthened its community connections, implemented effective strategic planning initiatives, and formed several collaborative educational partnerships.

     

    Beyond his professional achievements, he enjoys engaging in various hobbies that contribute to his well-rounded lifestyle, including fly fishing, exercising, reading, and writing. His philanthropic efforts are notable as well; he actively participates in community service, coaching baseball, and has taken the meaningful step of adopting a child. These activities reflect his deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others and enhancing his community.
